SOUTHERN CROSS “LINER” TANKS ARE SIMPLE TO BUILD…

Southern Cross “Liner” Tank assembly is fast and simple using unskilled labour, and without the use of special tools or materials.

Step 1 – Level and compact suitable area, cover with sand or heavy polythene sheeting and lay out bottom angle steel rings.
Step 2 – Fit galvanised steel sheets and top rings – all simply bolted together.
Step 3 – Attach liner retaining strip, tighten all bolts and fit outside ladder (optional).
Step 4 – Install liner and make pipe connections.

SIZES AVAILABLE

Southern Cross “Liner” Tanks are available in 26, 47, 90 and 146 kilolitre (5,700; 10,300; 19,700 and 32,000 gallon) capacity using 12, 16, 22 and 28 side sheets 1800mm high. Tanks range in diameter from 4.3 to 10 metres.

For larger storage requirements Southern Cross manufacture and supply a range of pre-fabricated “Squatters” Type Tanks up to 2,500 kilolitre (550,000 gallon) capacity.
 

MATERIALS SUPPLIED

  • Heavy-duty plastic tank liner – liner retaining strips.
  • Heavy angle steel top and bottom rings.
  • Fishplates for top and bottom rings.
  • Side sheets 1200mm wide x 1800mm high x 1mm thick.
  • Outlet hole cover.
  • Bolts, nuts and washers.
 

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

  • Outside ladder.
  • Water level indicator.
  • 50mm (2” BSP) outlet pipe kit.
  • Steel tank top with manhole and cover.
