After extensive product trials and patent applications, Superior released the Superior Soil Profiler to the Lismore Macadamia Market at a two day, field day in October 2006. The hands-on field day was organised by Rural Buying Machinery Centre in conjunction with Antonio Carraro, Massey Ferguson and TYM tractors. Demonstrations were provided to property owners, industry representatives and media personnel. The Superior Soil Profiler was coupled to an 85hp Carraro and put through a variety of applications. The Soil Profiler is designed to cut a section of ground, granulate the soil and then place this soil under the tree line using, Superior's side delivery technology. The cut can be from level to 30 degrees and any depth from 3mm to 75mm. Cutting angle is achieved using Superior's patent pending tower with hydraulic actuation. The operator selects the angle of cut and with the tractor's lift arms and deck control wheels, sets the depth of cut. Property owners who attended the field days were amazed with the variety of applications. From light level cuts to deep V drains the Superior Soil Profiler not only cut the soil but placed the material under the tree line with a minimum of fuss. A control flap inside the side chute deflects the soil into the desired area and the hydraulic ram on this defector allows the operator to change angle on the go.
