Apart from being articulated and fitted with four large wheels - two features which represent Antonio Carraro's real commitment to innovation - the Rondo offers a completely exclusive solution: the oscillating rear axle.

A CONCENTRATION OF INNOVATION AND ADVANTAGES.

The special configuration of the ACTIF™ chassis allows the engine and the transmission to be positioned between the axles. Therefore the Rondo is especially compact, robust and stable. Its reduced size and weight offer not only the advantages of maneuverability and greater drivability but also the possibility for the Rondo to be transported on small trucks or trolleys that have been homologated for road transfer. This widens the Rondos scope even more.

EFFICIENCY AND MANAGEABILITY THAT LEAVE NO TRACE.

The Rondo has a turning radius of 70 cm: this is a record level of manageability that allows it to work with great agility around trees and in flowerbeds. Its two axles are equally far from the central pivot and this means that the rear wheels follow the tracks of the front ones perfectly. Being of the same dimension, the wheels guarantee perfect weight distribution whilst the tyre's have a specific pressure of 0,6 Kg per cm²: less than that exerted by a human foot. This is why, despite the integral traction, even under maximum steering the Rondo never skids and never damages the turf: it needs to be seen to be believed!

HEAD TO TAIL ERGONOMICS.

Despite its compactness, the Rondos drive position offers greater comfort to all drivers regardless of their height and size. The patented steering column can be inclined as is required in order to adjust the position of the steering wheel without obstructing visibility of the instrumentation. The seat
is also fully adjustable and the levers are within easy reach; this means that there is no uncomfortable stretching and straining of the torso and no distraction from the task being carried out. The steering is incredibly sensitive and light yet at the same time accurate. It is enough to drive the Rondo just a few metres to realise just how exceptional its drivability is. The position of the feet is also comfortable and anatomically correct, thanks to the tilted anti-slip pedal board.

EXTRA SAFETY GUARANTEED.

In order to increase the instinctive and immediate halting of the vehicle in all situations the Rondo is fitted with double brake pedals: one on the right and one on the left of the steering column, positioned higher up than the accelerator pedal. The parking brake can only be disengaged by a single intentional movement of the foot; to set the vehicle in motion it is necessary to be seated with the parking brake on and the PTO disengaged. The engine turns itself off automatically as soon as the operator gets off the seat and in the version with mowing and collecting equipment the engine turns off if the container is lifted when the PTO is engaged.

NEW GENERATION PERFORMANCE AND ECOLOGY.

For its Rondo, Antonio Carraro has chosen YANMAR engines: a world leader in terms of performance, reliability and technology. It is available in two engine capacities in order to be better able to meet the different market needs. The Rondo K. 333 is fitted with a brilliant direct injection 30 HP engine, produced specifically for Antonio Carraro in order to optimise fuel consumption and reduce emissions and noise levels. The Rondo K. 327 is fitted with a 22 HP engine which uses the same technology as the former, but adopts a system of indirect injection; also in this case noiselessness and ecology are guaranteed its the special solutions in terms of pistons, injectors and aspiration.

MAXIMUM AUTONOMY AND EASY MAINTENANCE.

The Rondo has a 50 litre fuel tank, with an autonomy of more than 10 hours (Rondo K.333) or more than 12 hours (Rondo K.327) fully loaded and without breaks.
Also the reliability of the cooling system translates into autonomy and productivity; the Rondo has a special radiator with larger cells that can operate without blocking even in the hottest, dustiest environments. The air is aspirated by a powerful blow fan, which distances the blades of grass from the radiators protective screen during operation. Furthermore it is possible to clean the screen easily and at any moment: without special equipment and time wasting.

POWER WITH MINIMUM STRAIN.

The Rondo has a completely patented hydrostatic transmission which offers numerous advantages. First and foremost there is its road transfer speed is 25 Km/h as opposed to the 15-18 Km/h offered by other vehicles of its category. In addition it has two speed ranges that can be engaged without the traditional gear box; this means less noise and no use of mechanical parts. The variation in capacity of the hydrostatic group, contained in a robust steel case, occurs by gently pressing one of the two accelerator pedals, with a lesser tiring of the foot and a perfect modulation of the working speed. Also as far as the PTO is concerned, thanks to the hydraulic engagement, motion is directly transmitted to the engine. IN the version with mower and collector, the engagement of the PTO and the aspiration turbine occurs via a single control and not, like in other vehicles of this type, with two separate movements: an extra advantage in terms of better operational capacity and less strain.

RAPID INTERCHANGEABILITY.

The Rondo has another completely innovative characteristic: the first totally platformed lifting mechanism. Thanks to this patented solution, the equipment follows every small unevenness of the ground perfectly, thus carrying out the task with a high degree of accuracy. The suspension is hydraulic, with a light pressure on the ground: this allows for even greater drivability. Furthermore it is already calibrated with a standard setting; the result being no adjustment is necessary when front fitting equipment is changed. When equipment such as the snow blade or the snow blower it is enough to change the suspension position to the free floating position. The speed of the interchangeability is guaranteed by the practical 2 hitch quick release system.

STATE OF THE ART SIMPLICITY.

Every detail of the Rondo has been studied in order to make operational and extraordinary cleaning as quick and easy as possible; this is not only to improve its operational quality but also to save precious time and thereby optimise the investment. As far as grass and dust is concerned all that is necessary is a quick manual cleaning session from time to time with the engine turned off. All the areas that might need cleaning are in easily accessible places, and are within reach even when the container is fitted. The oil radiator can be removed to further ease cleaning. The air filter is large in size so as to enable it to operate for many hours in the dustiest of environments; in addition it can be dismantled because it is within easy reach.

TOTAL COMFORT AND VISIBILITY.

The drive set of the Rondo can be fitted with a cab specially homologated for road transfer that is fitted on anti vibration Silent Blocks and has been designed to offer 360° visibility and comfort. The ample transparent surfaces and the two external mirrors provide total visibility from top to bottom in all directions; this enables it to work with absolute safety and security in all seasons. The adjustable ventilation system guarantees greater thermal comfort, in winter as in summer. Furthermore the cab is fitted with a lighting system that can operate under all atmospheric conditions, day and night.

THE FASCINATION OF FUNCTIONALITY.

Compact, futuristic in its design and totally without sharp edges, the bodywork of the Rondo is made from a special glass resin alloy that renders it both light and yet at the same time strong. The Antonio Carraro unique bright red paint is completely environmentally friendly and is highly resistant to scratches, heat and external agents such as the salt used on winter roadways. In addition the bodywork is covered in a special sound absorbent material in order to reduce noise levels: because Antonio Carraro always puts your comfort first.

MOWER WITH RT 1500 TURBINE.

The RT 1500 mower solves the two old problems associated with traditional mowers of cut regulation and blocking in a very new way. A brilliantly innovative system allows the cutting height to be adjusted very quickly using a simple system of wheel height spacers and a convenient hand wheel positioned in the front. In sharp contrast to other mowers, the aspiration turbine is situated above the plate in a semi-central without lateral protrusions; this allows it to cut grass at the edges of pavements and kerbsides, both on its right and left sides. The large front wheels are in rubber rather than plastic so that they do not damage the ground. Furthermore they are situated inside the plate and this facilitates mowing lines. The 6 robust aspiration vanes are angled in order to reduce noise levels and the possibility of blocking even on wet ground as well as preventing stones and other such objects from entering the aspiration pipe and damaging it. The transmission belts made in Kevlar are highly resistant against high temperatures and strong tension. A special pressure gauge allows the operator to keep a constant eye on the correct functioning of the turbine, the filling level of the container and the aspiration efficiency.

CR 1000 CONTAINER.

The patented CR 1000 container has a 1000 litre capacity; this guarantees the maximum operational autonomy possible for a vehicle of this category. Such a large carrying capacity has been made possible by the perfect weight distribution on the Rondos rear oscillating axle; these are two exclusive features that help to guarantee the container's stability even on slopes or uneven ground. Thanks to its compact design and to the features of the ACTIF™ chassis, the size of the container is never greater than the vehicle even when steering: an important advantage when moving forwards or backwards along rows of plants. Produced in a glass-resin resistant to knocks and corrosion, the CR 1000 container is further protected against accidental damage by an external structure.

R 1500 MOWER WITH LATERAL DISCHARGER.

The R 1500 mower with lateral discharger keeps the innovative characteristics of the model with the turbine: a rapid and innovative system that offers easy adjustment of the cutting height, a belt in kevlar that is resistant to the strongest loads, minimum noise thanks to the transmission's helicoidal gears, capacity to cut grass at the edges of pavements and kerbsides.

RP 1500 MOWER WITH REAR DISCHARGER.

Apart from having the technical features of the RT 1500 and R 1500 models regarding the adjustment of the cutting height, low noise levels and the reliability of the Kevlar belt, the RP 1500 offers specific advantages in terms of safety, thanks to the rear discharger which spreads the grass with maximum uniformity along the vehicle's track.

MULCHING KIT.

The kit consists of a series of special blades and baffles that allow for further chopping up of the grass. After which the fine "mulch" is uniformly distributed over the ground, providing excellent natural compost. This solution, apart from falling in line with a modern and ecological view of green care allows for the saving of time and expense connected with the collection, transport and disposal of grass cuttings. The kit is available for both the R 1500 and RP 1500 models.

HIGH GRASS BLADE KIT.

Available for the RT 1500 mower with turbine and the R 1500 mower with lateral discharger, the kit consists of three 6 mm thick reinforced double blades.
