The company Rural Buying Machinery Service Centre was primarily formed from what would be the progression of our parent company, Northern Rivers Rural Buying Service, next step of expansion from servicing the farming community in the Lismore region since the early 1970's.
With the introduction of specialised crops in the region, namely Macadamia's, Avocado's and Stonefruit to name a few, the need to provide a continuing service to their customers showed that the formation of a specialised machinery outlet, was the obvious direction needed.
In the Spring of 1996, Rural Buying Machinery Centre was born.
A small group of five individuals undertook the task, but one thing was in their favour - all were very much well versed in their field of expertise.
Tractors sales experience, spare parts interpreter experience, small engines' technician, lawn & garden experience and horticultural spraying experience very much had the scene set for a bright future.
Today its no different, only a lot busier, however the dedication of the staff in providing a total service for our customers in all aspects of agriculture remains our prime directive.
In the horticultural area, our company is seen as an industry leader in the macadamia arena with huge developments in harvesting technology, in the horticultural spraying area with new designs in air blast conveyor systems, specialised tractors for use in these new and exciting horticultural activities as well as involving implement manufacturers in designing new equipment for all the agricultural sectors.
Our spare parts department caters for all requirements in virtually any aspects. Our spare parts department without a doubt is the best in the business.
We are proud to have one of only 1200 world wide service technicians from Briggs & Stratton under our roof. Constant technical training keeps us ahead of our competitors. In our tractor mechanical division, factory training in undertaken regularly as to keep abreast of the new technologies for in today's modern tractors.
So, if your in the market for anything to do with any horticultural enterprise, why not talk to us. Whether its primarily a nut and bolt or up to a 260 horsepower tractor and everything in between, give us a call, we're sure we can help.
