STAR 30

Built for comfort and ease of use

The Star 30 has been designed with user comfort in mind while still affording the power needed to do the work. Because of its twin in-line pistons the Star 30 boasts a slim grip (only 42 mm diameter) as well as a smoother cutting action which means less jolting for the operator. This is achieved without sacrificing speed and power. The cutting pressure is 185 kg at the blade while the speed is as high as 2 strokes per second. The Star 30 is fitted with a unique ice free valve system to eliminate the freezing that can occur with pneumatic tools on frosty mornings. It also has dual connecting rod protection to prevent dirt and debris from entering the cylinder leading to longer life for your tool. The design of the cover also stops the connecting rod from hitting against branches of the tree and prevents the jolt that can result. The tool is available in 2 styles; Star 30V (vineyard model) designed for use in vines and Star 30F (Fruit model) for use in orchards. The blade setup of the Star 30V is designed to allow better access into areas of tangled canes as can be found when pruning vines. The Star 30 F blade setup is designed for a slightly bigger opening and for better leverage for the blade when pruning heavier branches. Both styles of blade have been heat treated for longer life and to help keep a keen edge on the blade.

Running Requirements
An 18cfm compressor will comfortably supply 4 Star 30 pruners. It is recommended that hose with an inside diameter of no less than 6mm be used for lengths up to 200 metres. Hose with a 4mm inside diameter can be used for lengths less than 100 metres though 6mm is still recommended.
